- United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area has a project entitled Replace Aluminum Siding on Buildings 1-11. The project is located at USDA, ARS, MWA, Coshocton, OH. The work includes, but is not limited to furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other necessary work to perform and complete work on the Administration Building, Chemistry Building, Engineering Building, Old Dormitory, Old Dormitory Addition, Old Dormitory Garage, East 4-car Garage, Storage Building, Shop Building, Carpenter Shop and West 4-car Garage. The work involves the following: 1) remove old aluminum siding; 2) replace with vinyl siding. The approximate total siding is 13,400 square feet. This estimated quantity is for use in estimating approximate project cost . The Contractor will have full responsibility for doing as built measurements in the field for calculating his bid price. The period of performance is 90 days. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the Specifications and Drawings. Bonding will be required. Estimated price range is: Between $25,000 and $100,000. This acquisition will be procured as a full and open competition under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code is 238170 and the annual size standard is 12.0 million. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-03. Solicitation No. 5114-5-0500 is scheduled for issuance on or about May 17, 2005. The solicitation will be posted on the FedBizOpps website at www.fedbizopps.gov. It is the responsibility of the contractor to check the website for the solicitation, as well as any amendments that may arise. All responsible and qualified sources may submit a bid that will be considered by the agency. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid. Sealed bids will be due by 2:00 pm on June 17, 2005. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror who submits the lowest bid.
