- Description
- Engineering services for the Design, Production & Testing of two (2) prototype Remote Start Kits (RSK) for the Emergency Airfield Lighting System (EALS). This acquisition is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. Phase 1 will include an analysis and evaluation of the current system in order to identity an alternative for a RSK. Phase 1 also includes the implementation phase, wherein all activities necessary to design develop and test two prototypes RSK. The contractor shall conduct government-witnessed testing at Holloman AFB, NM for acceptance of the two (2) prototypes. Phase 1 will also include the drafting of the Technical Data Package (TDP) for the prototypes to be produced. Phase 2 will be an option for the production of approximately ten (10) RSK units, their installation and checkout. Phase 2 shall also include the Technical Order (TO) updates required to reflect any changes made to the EALS system. Contract type will be Firm Fixed Price. Technical data for the EALS system NSN: 6230-01-355-5078 will be made available. Period of performance for each phase is estimated to be 8 months per phase.
