Description
The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. FA8102-05-R-0035 It is the intent of the Government to establish a 5 year IDIQ contract (1 basic year and 4 option year periods) for this requirement using full and open competitive procedures. Single or multiple awards based on this synopsis and the forthcoming solicitation are possible. In the event that multiple awards are made, the fair opportunity process will be employed. NSN: 1560-00-670-8777FG P/N: 5-70796-3 Noun: Steering Drum Assembly Item Description: 14? X 18? X 9?. Material: Magnesium housings using steel bearings to reduce friction. Assembly is made of two cable drums attached by a tube that is attached to a housing. All are magnesium except the bearings. The Assembly transmits the landing gear steering input via steel cables, allowing components to actuate moving the MLG as needed to steer aircraft. Applicable to: B-52H Destination: FB2039 Delivery: 5 months ARO Qty: BEQ for Basic Year = 60 BEQ for Option Year 1 = 43 BEQ for Option Year 2 = 44 BEQ for Option Year 3 = 43 BEQ for Option Year 4 = 43 Qualification Requirements: N/A The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 6 April 2005. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 6 May 2005. The anticipated award date will be 30 June 2005. Written and electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
