- The Federal Highway Administration has a need to contract for Office and Administrative Services at our headquarters facility in Washington, DC. The office is located at 400 7th St. SW, across the street from L?Enfant Plaza. The contractor will furnish all necessary personnel and supervision to satisfactorily perform the listed nonpersonal support services in a timely, reliable, high quality manner. It is anticipated that approximately 14 to 20 positions will be involved over the expected 5-year term. This competitive 8(a) procurement is a follow-on to a 5-year contract awarded to DM Saunders and Associates, Inc. of Bowie, MD who though currently providing these services, is no longer an 8(a) firm. This procurement is restricted to responsible small business 8(a) concerns eligible under the North American Industry Classification System code 561110 ($6 million). The solicitation and all related documents and amendments, if any, will only be released and available electronically through Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web site at http://www1.eps.gov/spg/DOT/FHWA/postdate_1.html which list all the FHWA business opportunities sorted by posted date. The solicitation and related documents will be posted under the RFP number. Interested parties must download the RFP from that site. NO WRITTEN, TELEPHONIC, FACSIMILE, OR E-MAIL REQUESTS for copies will be honored. Since this solicitation will only be available electronically, it is the responsibility of interested parties to monitor the FebBizOpps website for any solicitation amendments. Interested parties can register at the FebBizOpps site to receive e-mail notifications of postings. Please note that FedBizOpps has a feature called ?Interested Vendors List.? Those interested in subcontracting, teaming and the like should register, and contractors may find it helpful to review the names posted there. The ESTIMATED release date of the RFP is May 10, 2005. For the purpose of assisting those firms interested in this pending procurement, we are taking a preliminary step. We believe we are close to finalizing the solicitation, however, because of the need to have an award made by late July, we wish to provide interested parties a head start. We will publish a DRAFT of the proposed RFP statement of work and key provisions. This is strictly for your information, and may be altered in any way prior to the official release of the RFP. Offerors are cautioned to use this only for planning purposes, and to carefully read the actual RFP when it is released. Your comments or questions helpful to the finalization of the RFP are welcome via e-mail only. NO OTHER PROCUREMENT INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The Department of Transportation, Short-Term Lending Program offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
