Description
NSN'S 8030-00-081-2335/8030-00-148-7362/8030-00-155-6444 GSA, HEARTLAND GLOBAL SUPPLY, INTENDS TO ESTABLISH A STANDING PRICE QUOTE NOT TO EXCEED 12 MONTHS FOR 3 NATIONAL STOCK NUMBERS UNDER THE SPECIAL ORDER PROGRAM (SOP). ALL 3 NATIONAL STOCK NUMBERS MUST BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ITEM DESCRIPTIONS.DELIVERY WILL BE FOB ORIGIN. 8030-00-081-2335 UI: BX SEALING COMPOUND: DESCRIPTION In accordance with ASTM International specification designated D 5363 dated December 1, 2003, Standard Specification for Anaerobic Single-Component Adhesives, for locking, sealing, and retaining threaded or cylindrical assemblies. Grade: AN0131 Color: Yellow Size: 10 cc in plastic, squeeze-type, dispenser bottles. Ten bottles shall be packaged in a close-fitting, paperboard or fiberboard box. Each unit box shall be closed by taping or other suitable means so that the contents will not spill, leak, or become separated from the box. Shelf life code: 5 (18 months) Maximum age on delivery: 3 months ITEM MARKING Each item shall be marked with the following: (1) lot or batch number (2) shelf life data including dates of manufacture or shipment from manufacturer's warehouse, and reinspection or expiration, as appropriate. (3) manufacturer's name andpart number (4) instructions for use, thinning, mixing, shaking, etc. (5) instructions for storage, i.e. do not freeze, requires refrigeration, etc. PACKAGING PACKAGING: The product shall be furnished in specified quantities in plastic, squeeze bottles of the type normally used for this product provided that there will be no interaction chemically or physically with the contents so as to damage the bottles oralter the strength, quality, or purity of the contents. The filled bottles shall be closed with vapor-tight, resealable/replaceable caps that will insure that the contents will not spill or leak during shipment, handling, storage, and redistribution. PACKING INTERMEDIATE PACKAGING: Not more than 25 units packaged as specified above shall be further packaged in a close fitting corrugated fiberboard box conforming to Section 6(a), Rule 41 of the Uniform Freight Classification and Item 222 of the National Motor Freight Classification. Closure of the boxes shall be in accordance with Section 7 of Rule 41 of the Uniform Freight Classification. The units shall be protected within the box by individually packaging in paperboard boxes or with full height partitions or other suitable means to ensure that the containers are not damaged during shipment, handling, storage, and redistribution. PACKING: Intermediate packaged boxes may be further packed in a close-fitting, corrugated, fiberboard box conforming to Section 6(a), Rule 41 of the Uniform Freight Classification (UFC) and Item 222 of the National Motor Freight Classification. Closure of the boxes shall be in accordance with Section 7 of Rule 41 of the UFC. Gross weight of box and contents shall not exceed 65 pounds. MARKING All unit, intermediate, transport packages and unit loads shall be marked for delivery to military activities in accordance with MIL-STD-129P, Change 2, dated 10 February 2004. South Coast Air Quality Management Statement: If the VOC of the item exceeds the legal limits for the intended use in the South Coast Air Quality Management jurisdiction, then the product shall be prominently marked in contrasting and highly visible lettering on the outside of the shipping container "NOT FOR SALE OR USE IN SOUTH COAST AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT DISTRICT" PALLETIZATION Pallet Configuration: The pallets shall be 48-inch length x 40-inch width, general purpose, four-way entry, flush stringer, double-face non-reversible pallets. Pallet lumber used shall be bark free. Pallet Load Size: The load plus the pallet shall have a maximum height of 53 inches and shall not exceed 2500 pounds in weight for shipments to Eastern Distribution Center (Burlington). The palletized load shall not exceed 2000 pounds in weightfor shipments to the Western Distribution Center (Sharpe). Pallet Load Configuration: The containers or items shall be placed in a suitable pattern to form a stable and balanced load. Palletized loads shall be secured to the pallet to insure that theload arrives intact. Stacking Strength: The pallet plus the load shall be capable of supporting three additional like loads without any product damage and without the load or the pallet collapsing. Vertical, horizontal, or filler reinforcement may be added as necessary to provide strength. Partial Palletized Loads: Less than one-half pallet loads shall not be used for stacking, unless load is balanced on pallet. The partial palletized load shall be used for top loading only. NOTICE OF REQUIREMENTS FOR SHIPMENT TO EUROPEAN UNION COUNTRIES: Per Clause D-FSS-468, non-manufactured wood pallets and other non-manufactured wood package material used in shipments destined for ultimate delivery to or through a European Union (EU) country shall comply with the Emergency Measures (2001/219/EC) adopted by the Commission of the European Communities (CEC). Additionally, shipments delivered to DoD distribution facilities or freight consolidation points for eventual delivery to or through EU countries shall comply with DLA PROCLTR 01-15. 8030-00-148-7362 UI: KT SEALING COMPOUND: DESCRIPTION In accordance with Military Specification MIL-PRF-8516G, Sealing Compound, Synthetic Rubber, Electric Connectors and Electric Systems, Chemically Cured, dated July 31, 1997. QPL-8516-25 dated February 6, 2004 qualification or later letter of qualification required. Type I: low viscosity Class 2: 48 hr cure @ 77 deg. F Size: kit no. 3, a quart kit consisting of 24 oz base material and the required amount of curing agent in separate containers. Shelf life code: 3 (9 months) Maximum age on delivery: 1 month ITEM MARKING Each item shall be marked with the following: (1) lot or batch number (2) dates of manufacture or shipment, as appropriate, and reinspection (3) instructions for use, thinning, mixing, shaking, etc. (4) instructions for storage, i.e. do not freeze,requires refrigeration, etc. (5) each kit component shall be marked with the kit name and component part. (6) manufacturer's name and part number (7) if applicable, the maximum volatile organic compound content (VOC), less water and exempt solvents, in lbs/gl or grams/liter. (8) if the VOC of the item exceeds the legal limits for sale in California according to the South Coast Air Quality Management District limits in effect, then the product shall be marked on each unit and shipping container, "Not for sale or use in South Coast Air Quality Management District." PACKAGING Kit Packaging: The base material shall be furnished in compound lined, double-seamed end cans with multiple friction closure of the type normally used for this product. The curing agent and primer shall be furnished in resealable, resin-lined cans, glass, or plastic containers. There shall be no interaction chemically or physically with the contents which would damage the container or alter the strength, quality, or purity of the contents. The containers shall not spill or leak during shipment, handling, storage, and redistribution. Each kit assembly shall be further secured in a heat-sealed, aluminized Mylar film overpack enclosure suitable to stop atmospheric exchanges of volatiles, moisture, and oxygen. The overpack film shall be protected from casual puncture by further packaging within a close-fitting, corrugated fiberboard box or other functionally equal packaging method. PACKING PACKING: Material packaged as specified above shall be packed in a close-fitting, corrugated, fiberboard box conforming to Section 6(a), Rule 41 of the Uniform Freight Classification and Item 222 of the National Motor Freight Classification (200 minimumburst). Closure of the boxes shall be in accordance with Section 7 of Rule 41 of the Uniform Freight Classification. Gross weight of the box and contents shall not exceed 65 pounds. MARKING All unit, intermediate, transport packages and unit loads shall be marked and bar coded for delivery to military activities in accordance with MIL-STD-129P, change 2, dated 10 February 2004, as applicable. The pallets shall be 48-inch length x 40-inch width, general purpose, four-way entry, flush stringer, and double-face non-reversible pallets. The palletized load shall not exceed 2500 pounds in weight for shipments to the Eastern Distribution Center (Burlington). The palletized load shall not exceed 2000 pounds in weight for shipments to the Western Distribution Center (French Camp Location). The palletized load shall not overhang the pallet deck board edge by more than 1 inch and shall not exceed 53 inches in overall height (including pallet). Less than half pallet loads or loads shipped by small package carrier in acceptable transport packing need not be palletized. When less than full but more than a half pallet is used, the palletized load shall utilize proper bracing and/or reinforcement to ensure that the load can withstand two additional loads placed onit. Stacking: A load-stacking test shall be performed once, at the beginning of the contract, for each different unitized or palletized load configuration. A fully palletized load shall be tested utilizing a total stack of three palletized loads, with all the proper bracing and/or reinforcement necessary to perform the test. There shall be no evidence of damage to the pallets, shipping containers or products when stack is tested on the rigid surface for a minimum of 24 hours, in compliance with all the National and Local Safety Regulations. The pre-tested palletized load configuration shall be duplicated using the same packaging materials, pattern, number of shipping (transport) containers, and procedures consistent throughout the duration of the contract. Palletized loads shall be stable and safe when handled with mechanical equipment by qualified personnel. Materials: All lumber used inside or outside a shipment shall be bark free. No used wood pallets with repaired components or stringers will be acceptable. All wood pallet stringers shall be manufactured from hardwoods. Pallets manufactured of materials other than wood, shall conform to all the requirements specified herein. Unitization: For the purpose of this requirement, the assembled group of containers or items in a single load that can be handled as a unit throughout the distribution system. Unitization encompasses, but is not limited to, consolidation in a container, placement on a pallet or load base having forklift capability, orsecurely binding together. Shipments should be considered for unitization where appropriate or specified. Unitization of pallet load: The palletized load shall be unitized and secured to the pallet to insure that the load arrives intact without product damage. The containers or items shall be placed in a suitable pattern to form a stable and balanced load. Vertical, horizontal or filler reinforcement shall be added as necessary to meet the stacking strength requirements. A palletized load shall be secured to the pallet by shrink or stretch wrapping, and/or, by steel or nonmetallic strapping. When steel or nonmetallic strapping is used, edge protectors shall be provided to prevent damage to the cartons when tensioning the strapping. As a minimum, twostraps shall run lengthwise, two straps shall run widthwise, and two straps shall run around the girth of the palletized load. A palletized load shall be capable of protecting the products against damage in a multiple handling, transportation, and storage environment having distribution warehouses with rack systems that support the load/s overhead of warehouse personnel. Notice of special requirements for shipment to European Union countries: Per Clause D-FSS-468, non-manufactured wood pallets and other non-manufactured wood package material used in shipments destined for ultimate delivery to or through a European Union (EU) country shall comply with the Emergency Measures (2001/219/EC) adopted by the Commission of the European Communities (CEC). Additionally, shipments delivered to DoD distribution facilities or freight consolidation points for eventual delivery to or through EU countries shall comply with applicable DLA Regulations and Procurement Letter PROCLTR 02-17. 8030-00-155-6444 UI: CN ANTISEIZE COMPOUND: DESCRIPTION An aerosol form, antiseize compound for preventing galling and seizing of carbon steel nuts, studs, bolts, threads, and other mating surfaces including superheated steam installations and where temperatures may reach 1050 degrees F. Size: an 11 to 16 net wt oz aerosol can. Shelf life code: 6 (2 years) Maximum age on delivery: 4 months Loctite Corp. part number 76759, Permatex Inc. part nymber 81464, Bostik/Never Seez Corp. part number NSA-16, or Spray-On Products part number 620. Each can shall be provided with a removable/replaceable metal or full sized, double shell, plastic cap adequate to protect the dispenser in accordance with normal commercial practice. The filled cans shall be closed in a manner that will insure that the contents will not spill or leak from the container during shipment, handling, storage and redistribution. PACKING PACKING: Material packaged as specified above shall be packed in a close-fitting, corrugated, fiberboard box conforming to Section 6(a), Rule 41 of the Uniform Freight Classification and Item 222 of the National Motor Freight Classification (200 minimumburst).
