- The United Stated Special Operations Command will host the Advance Planning Briefing to Industry (APBI) in conjunction with Special Operations Forces Week at the Tampa Convention Center, Tampa, FL, June 6-10, 2005. The event will offer an excellent opportunity for Government and industry interface, provide long range acquisition planning information and provide a forum for industry to exhibit their products and technology. The agenda includes a keynote speech by the Special Operations Acquisition Executive on the future direction of SOF acquisition. Briefings by the USSOCOM Program Executive Officers will provide budget information on planned acquisitions efforts to help potential USSOCOM contractors identify business opportunities and prepare for upcoming acquisitions. The Director of Technology and the Chief of Comparative Testing will provide information on existing technology efforts and USSOCOM technology interests. Briefings by the Technical Industrial Liaison Officer, and the Deputy Director of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization will provide industry with information on how to pursue USSOCOM business opportunities.
