SOLICITATION NO.: Q5530050040 DESCRIPTION: Painting and minor wood replacement on two historic churches located in Mammoth Cave National Park. The work of this contract consists of the following: 1; the replacement or stabilization of all rotten wood trim as noted. 2; the preparation and painting of all exterior wood siding, doors, windows and trim. 3; the preparation and painting of all interior wood floors, walls, ceilings, doors, windows, trim and furnishings as noted on the plans. The National Park Service will award a single negotiated firm-fixed price contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above named project to the contractor offering the best value based on price and other price-related factors. PROJECT COST RANGE: $25,000 to $100,000 LOCATION: The construction site is located in Mammoth Cave at Mammoth Cave National Park, P.O. Box 7, Mammoth Cave, KY 42259 (Edmonson County). Mammoth Cave National Park is located approximately half-way between Nashville, TN and Louisville, KY near Interstate 65 in Edmonson County. A. Mammoth Cave Baptist Church, Flint Ridge Road. B. Joppa Missionary Baptist Church, Joppa Ridge Road. QUALITY ASSURANCE: A construction permit is not required, however, the contractor shall be experienced with work as described above, and the contractor shall show prior evidence of related work. The NAICS Code for this project is 238320 and the small business size standard is $12 million. This procurement is a Request for Quotations (RFQ) and is subject to the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions. A Pre-bid site inspection will be scheduled for all interested parties with the time and date to be announced in the Solicitation Instructions. FAR Clause 53.236-3, Site Investigation and Conditions affecting the Work, will be included in the contract. This clause places total responsibility on the contractor to investigate the project site.
