- Description
- Construct new kennel facility at the Savannah River Site near Aiken, SC. Project will include site work, supporting utilities, new driveway and parking area, new administration building, new kennel area and all appurtenances. Due to limited funds, the base line item will consist of the kennel area, with options for the administrative building and the paved parking lot. The options, subject to availability of funds, will be exercised within 60 calendar days of award. The contractor will commence wo rk within 15 days of Notice to Proceed. The performance time is 240 days after Notice to Proceed. Competition for this solicitation is unrestricted unless sufficient responses are received from HUBZone or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. All HUBZone or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business firms with capability to perform this work are encouraged to make their interest known to the point of contact identified below as soon as possible. If at least two qualified HUBZone or Service- Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business firms become known to us prior to the date the solicitation is issued, we may elect to set-aside this project in accordance with procedures of FAR subparts 19.13 and 19.14. If no such firms make their interest known w ithin 10 days of issuance of this announcement, the solicitation shall be issued on an unrestricted basis and all firms regardless of size shall be eligible and encouraged to compete for this project. The NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $28.5 M. The magnitude of the work is $500,000 - $1,000,000. Contractor must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration prior to award of this solicitation. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic forma t, downloadable from the internet. No CD-ROMs or hardcopy documents will be distributed. Offerors must register on the website below in order to view or download the solicitation documents. It is the responsibility of the offerors to monitor the website for notices and amendments. The solicitation will be posted on or about 16 May 05 with proposals due on or about 15 Jun 05.
