Description

Description: The work consists of repairs to revetments and stone bank paving, including the following principal features: (1) grading, earth or sand fill, and subgrade restoration, (2) stone paving, stone fill and subaqueous stone placement, (3) re moving pavement, (4) breaking out paving, (5) rearranging disarranged concrete paving, (6) repair to dikes including placement of stone fill in specified areas of minor damage and stone paving protection, (7) stone bank paving, (8) environmental protection , and (9) using the Government-furnished software (RMS) for electronic exchange of information and management of the contract (See Section 01312 QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM). The estimated value of the proposed work is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available on the Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office (VCCO) Web Page at http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil/contract/. Compact discs and hardcopies will not be available. Bidders should check the VCCO Web Page often for ne w solicitations and/or changes (AMENDMENTS) to existing ones. Issue date on or about 17 May 2005. Bid opening date on or about 23 June 2005, 1400 Hours. IF BIDDER IS LARGE BUSINESS, A SUBCONTRACTING PLAN WILL BE REQUIRED.
