This requirement is a Firm-Fixed price, 5 Year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), applicable to the CH-47, with deliveries to New Cumberland, PA 17070-5001. This IS a Critical Safety Item. This item is R ESTRICTED to Honeywell International, Cage Code: 99193 and Triumph Gear Systems, Cage Code: 57152. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capabili ty, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the p art. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activitys procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having j urisdiction over the part in the intended application. A Contractor First Article IS required. Production Lead-time with First Article Testing is 54 each, 311 DACA. Production Lead-time without First Article Testing is 54 each, 207 DACA. Production Lead -time with Article II Clause is 54 each, 259 DACA. Firms that can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the w ebsite www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking under CAPSAR and Policy Relating to Source Approval Request (SAR) for Aviation requirements. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of solicitat ion; however, solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above. Foreign firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies. Adequate technical data is not available for this acquis ition.
