- Construct Addition to and Replace Existing Roof on the Base Youth Center, Project #03-0045: This project shall include providing all labor, supplies, material, supervision, transportation, and all equipment necessary to construct an addition to the Base Youth Center to include replacing the existing roof. Location is 60 miles south east of Kansas City Missouri, at Whiteman Air Force Base. The work involve includes, but is not limited to, construction of new addition and renovation to a single-story Youth Activity Center containing 22,150 SF with a commercial kitchen. The single story addition of approximately 10,920 SF will be added to an existing 11,400 SF facility originally constructed in 1972. Five classrooms, a multi-purpose space and toilet room facilities are incorporated in the new addition. The existing facility will be renovated to match new finishes of the addition. The foundation is slab on grade with spread footings. A new standing seam roof will be built over the existing single ply roof. A new standing seam roof will be constructed over the addition. Requests for proposals will be solicited on an unrestricted basis. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. The project magnitude is an estimated between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220. This acquisition is funded by a combination of Non-Appropriated funding for the construction of the new addition and Appropriated funding for the construction of the new roof over existing facility. Non-Appropriated Funds are generated by the military community through sale of goods and services and the collection of fees and charges for participation in military community programs. The successful contractor will be selected using the Performance Price Trade-off (PPT) procedures, resulting in the Best Value to the Government. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities (Fed Biz Ops) web page; paper copies will not be made available. Note: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Note: Although we are providing a link for the Interested Vendors List (IVL), please note the listing will not be used by the Contracting office to notify vendors of Amendments to this solicitation. It is your responsibility to monitor the Fed Biz Ops web page for changes to the solicitation. Use of IVL is strictly your choice.
