- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 001 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR SMALL AND LARGE MAGNETIC FLOW METERS. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions and extend the due date for quotations. Question 1: Is the fluid a pure water or a liquid metal or some other fluid? Answer 1: The fluid will be filtered clean water with as high a purity as possible but not so high a resistivity as to be highly corrosive to the flow system components. The water conductivity may need to be adjusted to allow the operation of magnetic flow meters. Question 2: Please explain what is meant by Turnkey in this context. Does this require complete installation be included in our price? Answer 2: "Turnkey" is meant to indicate that the system is sufficiently complete that all we need to do is provide the water and power connections for it in order to make it operate. This is not meant to include installation. Question 3: NASA should be tax exempt as a federal government agency Answer 3: NASA is a tax exempt federal agency. The due date for receipt of offers is extended to May 20, 2005. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on May 20, 2005.Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet. These documents reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
