- The US Army Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) announces the electronic posting of a draft Request for Proposal (RFP) in response to the anticipated release of the upcoming solicitation for the Tailored Transportation Contrac ts-Freight All Kinds II (TTC-FAK II) requirement for Department of Defense (DoD) freight transportation services of freight all kind and U.S. Government shipments of foreign military sales material. Pickup and delivery of freight are from nine (9) origin regions to eight (8) destination regions throughout the Continental United States (CONUS). The posting date for the draft RFP is 28 Apr 05. The draft RFP is posted to the SDDC website at: www.sddc.army.mil. To access the draft RFP, select Doing Business With SDDC , Solicitations , More , TTC-FAK II . Prospective offeror's are requested to submit their company name, address, point of contact, telephone number and email information to the Contract Specialist (crimk@sddc.army.mil) to be included on the source list. A Pre-solicitation conference will be held on 18-19 May from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Williamsburg, Virginia. The purpose of this conference is to discuss any issues or concerns in reference to this solicitation requirement, and clarify any portions of the Performance Work Statement. This conference is being chaired by Government repre sentatives to ensure that all prospective offerors clearly understand the requirement of the draft RFP. Questions should be electronically submitted in advanced, NLT 9 May 05 to the POCs listed in this Notice. The specific location of the conference may be obtained from the POCs. Interested parties are required to RSVP NLT 10 May 05 to the POCs providing the name, title, and contact information of each person attending on their behalf in order to ensure adequate facilities are available.
