- The Department of Veterans Affairs, New Jersey Healthcare System, East Orange Campus, has a requirement for hemodialysis services and intends to award a contract thru the Request for Proposal (RFP) process. The VA has a need for a local hemodialysis service to provide care for overflow patients. The successful offeror must be located within seven (7) miles of the East Orange campus which is located at 385 Tremont Avenue, East Orange, New Jersey 07018-1023. The offeror shall also be JCAHO certified and be a Medicare certified End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) facility. Each offer will be evaluated on the following factors which are listed in descending order of importance: 1. technical capability 2. past performance 3. geographic proximity to the VA Medical Center 4. price. The period of performance will be for an initial base period from July 1, 2005 (or date of award if later) through September 30, 2005, and will include four (4) one-year option periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 621492 and the business size standard of $29.0 Million is applicable to this acquisition. This procurement is Unrestricted. THE SOLICITATION WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE ON OR ABOUT May 11, 2005 with a proposed due date of June 10, 2005 at 2:30 PM Local time. Copies of the solicitation may be obtained at no charge at the Business Opportunities System website http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov. This solicitation will be available in electronic format ONLY. Dissemination is limited to electronic medium and the VA WILL NOT PROVIDE HARD COPIES. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at the URL address. Once the solicitation is posted Offerors are advise that they are responsible to review and monitor this solicitation in the website frequently to ensure that they have most up to date information about this acquisition.
