- The purposes of this amendment are to 1) provide a list of questions received and responses to those questions, 2) to indicate that a revised Attachment A is available by emailing lisa.wells@nist.gov, 3) to extend the response date to May 10, 2005 by 3:00:00 p.m. eastern time. Question and answers are as follows: Q1) How many of the runways are to be checked with laser? Is it just top running cranes? A1) Runways laser check will be performed in the following locations: A. Building 202 C-1 and C-2 B. Building 226 C-02 AND C-03 C. Building 245 CA-2, CA-6 and CD-1 D. Building 302 C-1 Q2) How many of the cranes are to have camber checked? Which ones? A2) The camber check will be in Building 304 A. C-1 and C-2 B. M-1, M-2 and M-3 Q3) Are we to dye-penetrate or mag. particle all hooks? If not which ones? A3) The dye-penetrate method will be used to check all hooks. Q4) Are we to adjust all brakes on each crane? A4) The crane inspector will not make any adjustments to or for NIST equipment.
