Description
The Eldorado National Forest is soliciting competitive offers for the Scott Creek Fuels Reduction Stewardship Project. The Scott Creek Fuels Reduction Stewardship Project is located within T.8N., R.13. E and T.8N., R.14E., M.D.B.&M. Sealed ? ?Best Value? offers will be received at the Forest Supervisor's Office at 2:00 PM local time on Monday, May 16, 2005 for an estimated 21,412 Tons (2,992 M board feet) of sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for cutting on 734 acres and 5 stewardship projects. Stewardship projects are: small tree (non-sawtimber) thinning and removal on 734 acres, machine piling vegetative debris on 519 acres, mastication of 144 acres, constructing 0.80 miles of machine fireline and constructing 0.40 miles of hand fireline. Contract contains Specified Roads with an estimated public works construction cost of $114,177.35 plus deposits for Road Reconstruction Engineering. The Forest Service will evaluate competitive offers submitted by offerors who present a price offer and technical proposal according to the information found under the section in the offer titled ?Instructions to Offerors.? Evaluation factors for this project are organizational experience, organizational past performance, local community economic enhancement (including small business enhancement), understanding the Government?s requirements, and price. One award will be made to the offeror whose proposal is technically acceptable and whose technical/price relationship is the ?best value? to the Government. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all offers. A prospectus is available to the public and interested offerors from the offices listed below. Information concerning the timber and stewardship projects specific to this project, and submission of offers is available to the public from the District Ranger, Amador Ranger District, 26820 Silver Drive, Pioneer, CA 95666 or the Forest Supervisor, 100 Forni Road, Placerville, California 95667.
