Description

Design and Construction of Army Reserve Training and Support Facilities, New Century ARC, Johnson County, Gardner, Kansas. The project will consist of the following: Base Bid for the Army Reserve Center Building (35,990 SF), POV Lot, Site I Demolitio n of Bldgs 154, 300, 301, 302 308 and picnic shelter, Design Fees (Base Bid), Design Fees (Options A and B). Option A includes OMS/AMSA (Vehicle Maintenance) Building (17,969 SF), Unheated Storage Building (1,217 SF), Wash Bay Structure (1,600 SF), hi/low loading ramp, roadways, two partial Military Equipment Parking (MEP) lots and associated site improvements on both sites. Project will require site grading, utility connections, Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) and storm drainage system, chain link fence, decorative aluminum fence, pavement, dock equipment, landscaping, exterior and interior concrete work, communications equipment, sprinkler system, masonry, steel studs, drywall, concrete, ceramic tile, porcelain pavers, structural and misc. steel, shingles , casework, vinyl composition tile (VCT), carpet, acoustical ceiling, kitchen equipment, wire caging, folding partitions, overhead doors, hollow metal doors and frames, wood doors, door hardware, aluminum windows, storefront glazing system, athletic floori ng, alarm systems, intrusion detection systems, exterior and interior lighting systems, mechanical and electrical systems and other items appropriate for assignment as a United States Army Reserve Training Center., Demo Site I Building 304 and Site II Buil dings 220, 223 & 150 and Option B  Hi/Low Ramp on Site II. The technical and price (Base and Options) proposals submitted by responsive offerors will be evaluated for Best Value to the Government on the following factors listed in descending order of im portance: Prime Contractor Technical Experience, Design Contractor Technical Experience, Subcontractor Technical Experience, Key Personnel Technical Experience, RFP Design Requirements Narrative, Elevation Drawings, Exterior Building Envelope for all Buil dings, Geotechnical Narrative, Storm Drainage, IT Items, Organizational Chart, Schedule, Designer Role, Construction Firm Past Performance, Design Firm Past Performance and Subcontractor Past Performance. All evaluation factors other than cost or price, wh en combined, are equal in importance to cost or price. The price range is $10,000,000 to $25,000,000.
