- DESC: NSN: 1005-01-512-6424, Part Number: 13001601, the item to procure is a Gas Port, Bolt, for the M240B Machine Gun. Manufactured part is made from steel valve, rolled, SAE J775. Heat treat in accordance with MIL-H-6875. Chromium protective fin ish. Overall length of the item is approximately 70.75mm with the largest outside diameter being approximately 20.950MM. Precision machining is required. Proposed contract is 100% service disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB) set-aside. The pro posed contract will be a 5-year, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a guaranteed minimum quantity of 5,000 each, Gas Port, Bolt for use on the M240B Machine Gun. FOB is destination. Estimated issue date is 02 May 2005. This soli citation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the Internet. Vendors, who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal, must signed the non-disclosure and non-use agreement, which will be included as an attachment to the solicitation. Signed copies of the non-disclosure and non-use agreement must be completed and submitted to the fax number provided on the agreement before a TDP will be mailed. Any said requests should contain the following information; CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, Point of Contact, Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the Internet and the non-disclosure and non-use agreement has been e xecuted. A License Agreement between FN Herstal and the US requires the items procured to be manufactured exclusively in the US and Canada. The successful offeror under this solicitation agrees to manufacture the items, being procured under this contract , exclusively within the US and Canada. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by ac cessing the following address via the Internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fa ct unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to res pond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
