Description
Together the United Kingdom (UK) Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the US Department of the Army Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology), and the US Army Research Laboratory (ARL) have been exploring mechani sms of improved research collaboration that would create a critical mass of government, private sector, and academia scientists, engineers, and facilities/equipment focused on solving the military technology challenges in network centric warfare for coalit ion operations. The International Technology Alliance (ITA) Program is a new bilateral cooperative technology concept planned by the Governments to achieve this goal. In order to provide an opportunity for interested parties to network and learn more abo ut the ITA Program, two Opportunity Conferences were held on 01 April 2005 in Washington DC and 07 April 2005 in London, UK. As stated at the UK Opportunity Conference on 7 April 2005, and as will be stated in the Final Program Bulletin for the ITA Program, all proposed Consortium Lead Industrial Partners as defined in Part VI of the Program Bulletin - are required to be pre-q ualified in order to submit a proposal to be considered in connection with the ITA Program awards. Potential Consortium Lead Industrial Partners are required to be pre-qualified prior to the due date for submission of proposals; however, potential Leads a re requested to apply for pre-qualification as soon as possible. Potential Leads are requested to submit a summary narrative (not to exceed 5 pages) describing the qualifications they have in meeting the definition of a Consortium Lead Industrial Partner as set forth in the DRAFT PROGRAM BULLETIN for the ITA Program. The pre-qualification submittal process can be found at the following web site http://www.usukita.com.
