Description

The contracting office at White Sands Missile Range on behalf of the U.S. Army Intelligence School, Language Technology Office (LTO), at Ft. Huachuca, Arizona, intends to award a sole-source contract to Transparent Language, Inc. The contractor shal l provide a Multi-Platform Tactical Language Kit for the Farsi Language that incorporates the following: -Web-enabled Immersion Environments training software that allows the user to learn, sustain and enhance their language skills in the target language through the use of filmed scenarios of situations involving the appropriate use of the target language in common communication scenarios which the user is likely to encounter. For military purposes, these keystone scenarios will involve the fundamental language activities. -Flashcard/Memorization software that allows the user to efficiently memorize the meaning and pronunciation of all or portions of a pre-selected word list relevant to the chosen domain. -Software that allows the user to select a word or phrase from a pre-established set of words or phrases relevant to the domain, and have the computer then pronounce the selected word or phrase. This contract is a follow-on to a previous purchase from Transparent Language, Inc. This effort is a spiral development effort of the initially delivered product. Any other contractor would require duplication of costs already incurred and would not have the expertise to meet the required schedule. The contract delivery date will be one hundred eighty (180) days. An option will be included to purchase additional CDROM copies of the Multi-Platform Tactical Language Kit in minimum quantities of thirty (30) . The NAICS code assigned to this procurement is 511210 with a size standard of $21M. This notice is for informational purposes only. This is not a request for competitive quotes.
