Description

Presolicitation Notice - - The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to issue IFB-40020-0077 for the project entitled Repair Storm Sewers at the United States Penitentiary (USP) in Marion, Illinois. The Contracting Officer anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract. The successful contractor will be required to, among other things, slip line approximately 760 linear feet of 21" reinforced concrete storm sewer piping in two areas (re-line 400 linear feet in one area and 360 linear feet in a second area), utilizing Trenchless Technology. Both areas are inside the secured fence. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation will be available on/about May 11, 2005 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions to obtain all documents relating to this solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the solicitation and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most current information about the acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The opening date/time for invitation for bids is on/about June 14, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. local time, at USP Marion. The NAICS is 237110 and the size standard is $28,500,000. This solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
