- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting From a Single Source, to provide partial sponsorship of the 12th Time Resolved Vibrational Spectroscopy Conference (TRVS XII) schedule 05/23-27/05 at NIST in Gaithersburg, MD. Support covers student registration fees and preparation of proceedings abstract and meeting books. This is a sole source requirement as the Co-Chair of the event, the only external representative outside of NIST involved in the organization of the program and the selection of the abstracts, is directly affiliated with the University. A fixed price purchase order will be issued on or about May 4, 2005 with a 90-day performance period. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a request for competition. See Note 26
