- Description
- The contractor shall complete construction for the Storms Creek bank stabilization project in Lawrence County, Ohio, on the Wayne National Forest. This project will stabilize sections of Storm?s creek stream banks that were damaged by late fall and winter storm events. Storms Creek is located approximately 7 miles North of Ironton, Ohio, on the Ironton Ranger District of the Wayne National Forest. The damage is causing the banks to erode and regress into the adjacent horse trail along the bank from 3+00 to 5+56. In addition the creek is eroding into the bank at station 0+00 to 2+47. The project includes, but is not limited to the following work: Base Items - erosion control, clearing and grubbing, excavation and embankment, turf establishment, plantings, rolled erosion control fabric, topsoil, and site restoration. Option items will include bridge placement and stretch (similar to Base Items). The Technical Contact for this project is Steve Marchi at 740-753-0101. This solicitation will be advertised using a request for proposal, best-value format and a 20% bid bond is required for a firm fixed price, construction contract. This solicitation is unrestricted, with HUBZone Small Business Concern and Small Disadvantaged Business Concern preferences, and award will be issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This solicitation will be available ONLY electronically at the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website: http://www.eps.gov/, on approximately May 5, 2005.
