- BROWN SPRINGS RIVER FENCE PRESOLICITATION NOTICE Solicitation will be available on or about (+20 from date of notice). Total Small Business Set-Aside. NAICS Code 238990, size standard $12 million BROWN SPRINGS RIVER FENCE- Project consists of construction of approximately 2.5 miles of 4 wire barbed fence, several water gaps and gates, 4 walk-throughs, and one water lane between the Falls and below Brown Springs on the Verde River. Parts of the fence are in short stretches, tying into bluffs. All materials shall be packed in on horse or ATV due to limited vehicular access (except for wilderness areas note wilderness area restrictions which do not allow any type of motorized equipment at all chainsaws, ATV). Project area is very rugged and remote. Topography is steep and rocky, with high summertime temperatures. One of the water gaps will be built in a narrow, deep canyon. Contractor will string cable across the canyon, tie cable into rock facing and hang water gap from cable. Drilling equipment shall be required. One mile of fence shall be built in the Cedar Bench Wilderness Area. No motorized equipment (chainsaws, ATV) will be allowed in the Cedar Bench Wilderness Area. The contractor shall furnish all equipment, labor, supervision, transportation and incidentals necessary to complete the work. The Forest Service will supply all of the fencing materials. PROJECT IS LOCATED: Verde River-Brown Springs, Arizona, Yavapai County. From Camp Verde, Arizona take Salt Mine Road which turns into Forest Road 574. Follow 574 to Brown Springs. PRICE RANGE is between $25,000 and $100,000. ALTERNATE PAYMENT PROTECTION IS REQUIRED. PRE-BID MEETING will be scheduled and announced in the solicitation. Contract Time: 130 calendar days. QUOTES DUE: (+31 from date of issue) at close of business.
