- CONCRETE. 1) This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for the commercial purchase of concrete. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. 2.) Solicitation F5000-05-R-0012 is a Request For Quotation (RFQ). 3.) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-16. 4) This solicitation is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business. The NAICS is 238120. 5.) DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, tools, material, equipment, labor necessary to deliver concrete 5 SA 3500 PSI Type I &III, 5 ½ SA 4000 PSI Type I&III and 6 SA 425 PSI to specified points on Elmendorf AFB as needed. Vendor is responsible for delivering concrete, year round, within 24 hours of notification. Minimum order amount is 4 cubic yards and a maximum orderable quanity of 250 cubic yards with no additional charge for stanby time. Fiber to be added as required and winter heat charge will be charged per yard as required. Hours of operation for delivery are 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday - Sunday. 6.) Award will be made based on best value price. The government reserves the right to make award on the initial quote received without discussions. 10.)
