Description: SOURCES SOUGHT TO ATTEND A CONFERENCE FOR DISCUSSION OF A PENDING REQUEST FOR INFORMATION FOR INFORMATION ON JOINT (ARMY, NAVY, AF, AND MARINE CORPS) INTEGRATED AIR AND MISSILE DEFENSE CAPABILITIES THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION, IT IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations paragraph 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. 1. Overview. The Joint Requirements Oversight Council has directed a Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense (JIAMD) Capabilities Based Assessment (CBA) to be conducted. A key element of the Joint IAMD CBA is the identification of capability gaps (need s) of the Joint IAMD forces (Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps) and the potential solutions to overcome them. 2. Purpose. The purpose of this announcement is to invite members of industry, academia and other governmental agencies to attend a conference at which a pending Request for Information (RFI) will be discussed. This RFI will be published after the confe rence and will seek information in support of Ideas for Materiel Approaches (IMA) to address a Joint IAMD capability solution sets. This conference is intended to allow interested parties an opportunity to begin the process of identifying potential soluti ons. Additionally, conference attendees will be provided with; information on the Joint capability gaps, an opportunity to ask questions of the CBA team, and information on the desired format for responses to the anticipated follow-on RFI. 3. Forum. The Joint IAMD conference will be held from 0900 1200 hrs on 12 May 2005 in Soldier Hall, Bldg 2, Fort Bliss, Texas. Presentations will be at the Secret level and attendees should forward their clearance information and visit requests to Com mandant, USAADASCH, ATTN : ATSA CD (Security manager), Ft.
