- Description
- The INL has developed a transmission line security monitor and repeater system. This technology provides real time status of the integrity of the physical structure of power poles, transmission towers and may be applied to other structures, such as pipelines and cell towers. The monitoring system is comprised of a multi-sensor platform that is capable of detecting and distinguishing human tampering from natural activities that may pose as threats to tower structures. This system can provide real time characterization, localization and alarm of potential threats to tower structures. This system can be integrated with existing infrastructure components. The INL is soliciting a written indication of interest from industry partners interested in funding a collaborative technology development project and/or entering into a license agreement for the purpose of developing and commercializing this technology. Interested parties should respond thirty (30) days after publication. Interested parties should send a description of their company and their ability to commercialize this technology to the contact listed below. Any questions or inquiries should be directed to the contact listed below.
