- This construction project consists of the following items of work, but is not limited to these items: furnishing all labor, material, equipment, tools, transportation, supplies, and perform all work necessary for reconstruction of Forest Road and Construction of Forest Development Roads. Reconstruction includes road surface repair, brushing, slide material removal, drainage structure repair and reconditioning, borrow excavation and embankment construction. The construction includes furnishing, hauling and placing road material on the traveled way including turnouts/pullouts, parking areas and approach road intersections, culverts installation, Government furnished bridge installation, bridge repairs, quality control and quantity measurement, certification for quality and quantity, mobilization, pit development, and seeding and fertilizing. Roads will require water bar treatment for winterization during winter shutdown period. The IFB solicitation will consist of a base bid and three option item bids. Estimated price range is between $1 million and $5 million. Performance period is 730 days. The IFB solicitation is 100% set-aside for SBA Certified Hubzone contractors. All responsible HubZone sources may submit a bid that will be considered. The solicitation and drawings will be available for downloading at http://www.fedbizops.gov on the solicitation issue date of May 4, 2005. A pre-bid meeting will be held in Ketchikan the week of May16-20, 2005. It will be the responsibility of the bidder to check Fedbizops for any amendments to the solicitation or this announcement. Follow this procedure for EACH project of interest.
