Description
This is a Sources Sought Synopsis. There is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for solicitation will not receive a response. This Sources Sought Synopsis is published for market research purposes only, and in no way obligates the Government in an award of any contract. The Document Automation and Production Service (DAPS) is seeking information on black and white copiers that can operate in the 400 to 700K monthly volume range. This synopsis seeks to identify qualified sources from Government or Industry for the following requirements: 1. Copiers/Duplicator Specifications -Black imaging -Throughput per hour – 5800 - 8.5 x 11 impressions per hour -Monthly Volume Cycle Range – 400K to 700K -Image Resolution – Print engine Optical 1200 x 600 DPI -Toner Yield – 90K impression toner cartridge -Change Toner on the fly capability -Built in Scanner with at least 600 x 600 optical DPI and matches engine speed -Scanner Capable to output to PDF, TIFF and built in CD-RW -Read from CD at printer -Paper Weight 16# Bond to 110# Index, tabs, transparencies, recycled, carbonless, never-tear, and envelopes -Paper Sizes:5.5 x 8.5 to 12 to 18 with full bleed -Staple up to 95 Sheets -Short feed staple on 11 x 17 -Software driven inline Folder with C, Z, bi-folds and stapled signatures -Removable hard drive capable -Multiple Document Inserter (after fuser insertion) -PDL Adobe PostScript® 3, TIFF, PCL 6, PDF, Multi-page TIFF. -ADH capacity of 250 sheets -Section 508 compliant -Energy Star compliant -Controller included -Disk overwrite software -Low first copy time -Edge to edge printing without automatic reduction for margin allowance 2. Management Features - Job data exported via encrypted FTP to central server for report generation which includes: Impressions by job Impressions by hour Impressions by week Impressions by month Paper type usage Finishing Statistics -Remote Diagnostics via encrypted FTP -Interface with Digipath/Freeflow -Enhance photos at individual page levels -Page insert and delete -Back to back alignment of images -De-skew images from scanner -Ability to install software security patches remotely -Solution for ASCII/EBIDIC from a mainframe to run on the printer -Scan back to client 3. Support -Monthly Conference Calls combined with Web based training for approximately 100 employees per month. -Monthly Uptime review -Single POC for service issues. -Trade in pick up and removal of at least two devices. 4. Maintenance -All components included in maintenance price -All supplies included. -Pooling -8 hour or less on site service -Individual invoice billing Sources having the capability to provide technologies adressing any or all of these requirements are invited to submit a white paper, capability statement or other literature outlining capabilities as well as existing government contract vehicles through which to acquire this capability such as Federal Supply Schedule contracts. Documents shall be provided in electronic form (Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, or PowerPoint) to Gary.Walls@dla.mil,no later than 18 January 2005; include Black and White Copier RFI in the subject line of all email correspondence. Company information should include qualifications and experience, demonstrated success in work of this nature, point of contact, business size and disadvantaged, 8(a) or HUBZone status. Any information submitted in response to this synopsis is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this synopsis. This announcement in no way obligates the Government to issue a solicitation or otherwise make a contract award.
