Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to negotiate with Raytheon Company, PO Box 11337, Tucson, AZ 85734 for development of the Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) Kinematic Upgrade phase of a Pre-Planned Product Improvement (P3I) effort The goal of this upgrade effort is to develop capabilities required to upgrade RAM to defeat advanced maneuvering Anti-Ship Cruise Missile threats. While this development effort is currently funded by the United States, it is anticipated that an international cooperative development agreement between the United States and Germany will be established. The establishment of this international development agreement may result in the identification of additional needed performance improvements in the area of mid-course guidance. Raytheon is the developer and original equipment manufacturer of RAM and is currently the only qualified source for this equipment with the special production and development facilities and test equipment. Companies ! interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Raytheon directly. See Note 22*****
