- Description
- USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) proposes to issue a sole source award to MassTech, Incorporated, 6992 Columbia Gateway Drive, Columbia, MD 21046. Components of the AP/MALDI source include a laser control unit, pulsed dynamic f ocusing unit, camera, image viewing hardware, control software, and sample plates. The specifications include: (1) Must be compatible with the Finnigan LCQ DECA Ion Trap Mass Spectrometer, (2) Must have contact closure feature, pulsed dynamic focusing, e xternal laser spot position adjustment capability, minimal maintenance requirements, all electrical and optical cables necessary for operation, built-in interfaces for interconnectivity with accessories, (3) Must use proven technology, (4) Must integrate w ith mass spectrometer PC data collection and control system, not require high vacuum, be rapidly interchangeable with other instrument ion sources, provide instrument installation and training. A firm-fixed price award will be made utilizing the Simplifie d Acquisition Procedures. Any other responsible source able to provide the services is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 days after its publication. This is not a request for quotations and there is no solicitation available at this tim e.
