- The U.S. Army RDECOM Acquisition Center's Natick Contracting Division intends to award a contract to ORA Incorporated, a small business located in Fredericksburg, VA on a basis of other than full and open competition under the authority in FAR Subpar t 6.302-1; only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The contract will be for work to assist the government with preparation, and set-up on testing of blast threats and to perform post-test medical ana lysis and assessemnt of injury potential on test analysis results. The duration of the work is expected to be full time for three (3) months. ORA Inc. is considered to be a sole source for this work as they have extensive knowledge and highly qualified p ersonnel in the area of blast biophysics research and analysis, to include blast overpressure testing and injury assessment. Expertise in the blast biophysics area, particularly blast overpressure, is very limited, with most experts being government worke rs.
