- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to award a sole source Purchase Order to the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) for the 39th AASHTO National Transportation Leadership Institute Conference at Indiana University on April 10-23, 2005. FHWA contribution will be providing funding for registration fees for eleven FHWA employees. This is the premiere leadership conference for transportation managers in the United States. This program officer participants the opportunity to mange their careers so that they have a competitive advantage. The institute offers transportation managers a forum to improve leadership skills and find new methods to meet the challenges that face today?s transportation industry. The AASHTO National Transportation Leadership Institute is unique because the program is designed to meet the specific needs of the individuals who lead transportation agencies across the United States. No other known source possesses the knowledge required to successfully. They are the only known association that can provide these services for FHWA. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is on or about May 2, 2005
