Description
Sources Sought Synopsis This is a Sources Sought Notice. There is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for solicitation will not receive a response. This Sources Sought Notice is published for market research purposes only, and in no way obligates the Government in an award of any contract. The Document Automation & Production Service (DAPS) is seeking to identify qualified sources from Industry for the following requirements: 1. Inside delivery of paper to military activities and Federal agencies (48 contiguous states). 2. Paper classified as 20-lb. white multi-purpose, plain and 3-hole drilled, 30% post-consumer waste fiber as defined by U.S. Executive Order 13101, 84% brightness, size of 8.5? x 11?. 3. Paper classified as 20-lb. white multi-purpose, plain and 3-hole drilled, 50% post-consumer waste fiber as defined by U.S. Executive Order 13101, 84% brightness, size of 8.5? x 11?. 4. Paper packaged as 5,000 sheets per carton with 40 cartons per skid. 5. Paper packaged as 2,500 sheets per carton with 80 cartons per skid. 6. Paper guaranteed to run through high speed printing systems with minimal jams and downtime effects. 7. Acceptable papers are those that are manufactured in the United States and Canada (Trade Agreement Act). 8. Web site available for immediate on-line ordering, tracking, and billing. 9. Delivery times: Next day for quantities of 1 skid through 5 skids, and three days for quantities of 6 skids through 22 skids. 10. Provide management information reports for each ordering location on a quarterly basis. 11. Minimum order of 1 skid. Approximate yearly volume of paper: 1. White Paper: 696,690,000 sheets (8.5? x 11?) 2. Three-Hole Drilled White Paper: 405,865,000 sheets (8.5? x 11?) 3. There may be additional quantities required if the need arises. Sources having the capability to provide any or all of these requirements are invited to submit a white paper, capability statement, or other literature outlining capabilities as well as existing Government contract vehicles through which to acquire this capability such as Federal Supply Schedule contracts. Documents shall be provided in electronic form (Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint) to gary.walls@dla.mil no later than April 27, 2005; include Paper Solutions RFI in the subject line of all email correspondence. Company information should include qualifications and experience, demonstrated success in work of this nature, point of contact, business size and disadvantaged, 8(a), or HUBZone status. Any information submitted in response to this synopsis is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this synopsis. This announcement in no way obligates the Government to issue a solicitation or otherwise make a contract award.
