- Description
- The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Acquisitions Management and Operations Branch (AMOB) is seeking sources that can provide yeast two-hybrid analysis of proteins. Offerors must be capable of analyzing each protein as multiple overlapping fragments engineered as DNA-binding domain constructs (DBD Constructs); preparing custom activation domain libraries; generating and screening each of the DBD Constructs against up to three different activation domain libraries; reproducing all interactions in na?ve yeast and confirming specificity using multiple microbial DBD Construct controls; providing continuous access to the protein interaction data via a secure, web-based interface; and providing access to a curated database of publicly reported protein-protein interactions. Offerors must have significant operational experience utilizing yeast two hybrid screening technology to detect host-pathogen protein-protein interactions. NIAID intends to award a one year contract beginning on or about May 1, 2005 with the option for four additional contract years. This is not a request for proposals. The intention of this announcement is to survey the market for potential offerors. Potential offerors must provide a capability statement to Terrie Nestor at tnestor@niaid.nih.gov on or before March 17, 2005 at 2:00pm.
