Description

This is a presolicitation synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Social Security Administration (SSA) requires the removal and disposal of five (5) hydraulic loading dock levelers and replacing with five (5) new air powered loading dock levelers at SSA?s National Computer Center (NCC) located at 6201 Security Blvd., Baltimore, MD. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment and materials in order to complete the requirement. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. The associated NAICS code is 333999 and the associated size standard is 500 employees. Solicitation SSA-RFQ-05-1344 will be available on the website on April 18, 2005. Attached to the solicitation, will be six (6) files: a Request for Quote (RFQ) (PDF) file and five (5) Word documents that consist of a (1) Cover Letter, (2) Statement Of Work (SOW), (3) FAR 52.212-5 applicable commercial clauses (please note, you must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award), (4) FAR 52.212-3 representations and certifications (reps and certs) and (5) security clause. FAR 52.212-3 should be completed and submitted with quotes. A site visit is set up for 10:00 AM, EST, 04/27/05. Confirmation of attendance to site visit with representative?s name and company?s name is required. For security purposes, you must submit your confirmation, via email to rick.bolt@ssa.gov by 10:00 AM, EST, 04/25/05. Directions will be made available after receipt of confirmation.
