Description
Sources Sought: The Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA/VA), James A. Haley Veteran's Hospital located in Tampa, FL, is conducting a market survey to determine the availability of SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS firms, capable and interested in providing Smoke Damper & Actuator Repair and Installation services at the Department of Veterans' Affairs, VA Outpatient Clinic located at 5201 Raymond Street, in Orlando Florida. Independently, and not as an agent of the Government, the Contractor shall furnish all parts, labor, equipment, supplies, travel, supervision, etc., to repair/install smoke/fire dampers and electronic actuators inside A/C ducts, along with programming & installing control system into existing system, which will maintain the fire/smoke alarm system/equipment in optimum operating condition. Work will be performed during night & weekend hours, involves one-hour firewall work along with as required duct repairs, and must be performed by a licensed electrical/mechanical contractor per current NFPA and NEC codes. The anticipated performance period is approximately 150 calendar days after award. Any resulting procurement would be conducted under authority listed in FAR Part 12. The applicable NAICS Code is 238210, and the size standard is $12.0 million dollars. Responses to this announcement shall determine if sufficient competition exists in the small business community in order to set this procurement aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns. The anticipated release date of the solicitation package is 28 April 2005. All qualified and interested parties are encouraged to participate.
