- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a request for quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-02. Offerors quoting Sun Microsystem products must be Sun Microsystems Authorized Government Providers. Responses/quotations are due NLT 3:00 PM, 19 Apr 05. This will be a best value award. The award will be made to the offeror whose proposal, based on an integrated assessment of quotation, provides the most advantageous offer to satisfy the Government+s requirement. The Government reserves the right to award to other than the offeror with the lowest price, and the right to award without discussions. Ship to: NASIC/SCXA, 4165 Communications Road, Bldg 281, Door 2, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433. Inspection + acceptance and FOB point are destination. Delivery is required no later than thirty (30) days after receipt of order. The following clauses + provisions apply: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items; and 52.212-3, Offeror Representations + Certifications-Commercial Items. Inserts for 52.212-2(a) are, in descending order of importance: (i) technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement; (ii) price; and (iii) past performance. All evaluation factors other than cost or price, when combined, are significantly more important than cost or price.
