Description
This synopsis is issued for informational and planning purposes only. The information requested by this synopsis will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. Please note that the Air Force will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this request for information. The Air Force requires listings of products that will interface with the existing military active RFID interrogator system (ISO/IEC 18000 Part 7). For more on our current system please see the following links to RFID policy § http://www.acq.osd.mil/log/logistics_materiel_readiness/organizations/sci/rfid/assetts/Policy/RFID%20Policy%2007-30-2004.pdf § System info: www.dodrfid.org (1) The Air Force requires a listing of products that can be used to mark/tag/label 463L aluminum air cargo pallets with passive RFID marking that will transmit the RFID Tag serial number and up to 128Kbytes of user defined data a minimum of 75 meters to an interrogator device. Tagging device would have to be semi/perminately affixed to or embedded in the 463L pallet and be able to with stand extremes of heat/cold(-65 to +165) without resulting loss of tag or data. (2) Data from the tags would be integrated into existing AF and DoD systems managing the inventory of the pallets as well as the In-transit visibility of the pallets and their cargo. Minimum requirements would be: (a) Query last known location (b) Individual pallet movement history (c) Match record to existing TAV/ITV capabilites (d) Be able to produce a report by location containing all presently associated pallet serial numbers (e) Be able to produce an overdue report by location that could be mail merged to a billing document Interested parties should submit the following information: (1) Company Information to include name and address of company, company point of contact, telephone number, business size (large or small), fax number and e-mail address. (2) For the list of items in production, provide product description, NSN if available. Also, provide (for use as a planning estimate only), the current unit cost for tag/label. Estimated yearly cost for software/service. Each listing should be separate with the type of listing clearly marked.
