- This procurement is being advertised as 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. WOMAN OWNED AND SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT QUOTES. The Corps intends to award a firm fixed price contract for Solid Sheaves (non-spoke type) for the C&S Equipment Barge #5301 located in Memphis, TN. The award will be based on the best value to the Government considering technical capability and price with technical capability (the ability to supply sheaves that are manufactured to specifications) being more important than price. Sheaves are used to allow a line or wire to make a directional change of up to 180 degrees, without chafe and with a minimum of friction. Sheaves turn on Axles, and may have Bushings installed inthem to reduce working friction, or to reduce their Inside D iameter (ID. This requirement is for seven (7) solid sheaves with the following diameters: outer = 23-2/4 inches, rope - 5/8 inches, bore dia. - 5.050 inches, RM width 1.5 inches, Hub width - 2.375 inches, Hub Dia. - 5.750 inches, Finish Bore. This synopsis constitutes a Request for Quote (RFQ). Recommend registration immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
