Description

The U.S. Army, Military Surface and Distribution Command (SDDC) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP), W81GYE-05-R-0022, on/after 27 May 2005 for Stevedoring and Related Terminal Services in support of the SDDC, 841st Transportation Battalion , North Charleston, South Carolina. Offerors will be required to handle Department of Defense sponsored export and import cargo at the SDDC, 841st U.S Army Transportation Battalion located on the Naval Weapons Station South, North Charleston, South Caroli na. The operational area of responsibility shall cover the Charleston Naval Weapons Station, the Naval Weapons Station South, and all South Carolina State Port Authority facilities with the greater Charleston area, and facilities of the Georgia Port Autho rity, Savannah State Docks (Garden City Terminal and Ocean Terminals). Proposals will be due 28 June 2005. SDDC intends to award a (4) four-year, Firm-Fixed Priced (FFP), Requirements Contract. The anticipated period of performance is 1 January 2006 thru 31 December 2009. NAICS Code 488320 and Federal Supply Code (FSC) V114 will apply. The Request for Proposal will be issued electronically on the agencys web page at http://www.sddc.army.mil (Look at top of page, select/click - Doing Business with SDDC, then select/click  Solicitations, then select/click Charleston S&RTS). Complete details will be included in the solicitation to include information concerning the Pre-Performance Conference and Site Visit.
