Description

The US Army CECOM intends to procure one additional Cost Effective Targeting System (CETS) sensor gimbal, associated required sensor electronics, software upgrades and technical support to integrate the sensor system onto a Stryker vehicle. It is ant icipated that a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee modification to Contract Number DAAB07-02-C-L426 will be awarded on a sole source basis to DRS Technologies, Sensors and Targeting Systems, 3500 Torrance Boulevard, Torrence, CA 90503 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 230 41(c)(1) Only One Responsible Source, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. DRS is the developer and only known producer of the CETS, therefore, is the only source that has the technical knowledge and experience to develop software modifications necessary to incr ease current and future CETS functionality, fabricate an additional CETS and integrate the additional CETS onto a Stryker vehicle in the required time period.
