Please read on . . . The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requires guest rooms, meeting rooms, food and beverages, audio visual equipment, business center and related services of a qualified hotel in Washington DC, Baltimore, Chicago, Atlanta or New Orleans. The conference will be held Monday through Thursday during one of the following weeks in 2005 … Sept. 12-15; Sept. 26-29; Oct. 24-27; or Oct. 17-20. The estimated maximum number of sleeping rooms per night is 225. The meeting space requirements include, but are not limited to, a general session for 225 classroom style (2 pp per 6’ table), four concurrent breakout rooms for about 50 to 100 people each classroom (2 pp per 6’ table), an office, a technology center, registration/refreshment break area, and a room for food and beverage events. The proposed food functions include continental breakfasts and a reception. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: The hotel must 1) be compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391) and hold a FEMA certification number; 2) be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA); and 3) have one of the following ratings: First class or higher per the Official Hotel Guide; three crowns or higher per the OAG Business Travel Planner; or three diamonds or higher per AAA. HOW TO ACQUIRE A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION: OCC anticipates issuing the solicitation on or about April 18 at www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation will contain the details of the hotel rooms and hotel services required, the instructions for submitting a quote, and how the quotes will be evaluated. THIRD PARTIES … If you submit a quote on behalf of a hotel, you must follow the instructions in Part IV of the RFQ. This will NOT be a small business set-aside but a full and open competition, using simplified acquisition procedures. All responsible hotels may submit a quote that will be considered by the OCC.
