Description
The Stennis Space Center Procurement office intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price, contract to Colonial Equipment Co., 1310 Bailes Lane, Frederick, MD 21701, for a 2003, zero mileage, Startrans Senator 24' 6" Paratransit Handicapped Bus with the following options: 4.5L CNG engine, E45 176" Wheel Bsse CNG Chassis, 3 Under Chassis Tanks, T-Slider Windows 24" X 34", Braun Millenium Series Wheel Chair Lift, two (2) Sure-Lock wheel chair securement systems, 12 mid back seats, one (1) 34" foldaway seat, manual double door entry, black floor covering ribbed in wheel chair area to match floor color, 45,000 BTU rear heater, 40,000 BTU A/C system with 14,000 out of dash, AM/FM Cassette radio with 4 speakers, PA System, Undercoating, and fog lights. This vehicle is a new 2003 model and is in stock to be delivered immediately. This is a Commercial Item Acquisition under FAR Part 12. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government believes only one responsible source can provide the product that will satisfy the agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:00 p.m. local time on April 27, 2005. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
