Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA), Atlanta Region, plans to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) solicitation to acquire the removal and replacement of 44 asbestos-containing fire doors in the SEPSC Building, Birmingham, AL. This requirement is a 100 percent small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 3291911. The Size Standard is 500 employees. Proposals received from other than small business concerns will not be accepted. The period of performance will be May 02, 2005 through June 30, 2005. Due to the urgency of the requirement, the solicitation SSA-RFQ-05-1332 is being release on April 11, 2005 with a closing date of April 22, 2005. No telephone, fax or mailed requests for the RFQ will be honored. The solicitation (and any amendments) will be available for downloading on the Federal Business Opportunity website at www.fedbizopps.gov for all interested parties. Note: Any prospective offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. To register in CCR at the website: www.ccr.gov, applicants must have a DUN and Bradstreet number and Tax Identification Number (TIN). Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) now requires the use of the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) in Federal solicitations as a part of the proposal submission process. With ORCA, you now have the ability to enter and maintain your representation and certification information, at your convenience, via the Internet at http://orca.bpn.gov. In addition, rather than receiving and reviewing paper submissions, government contracting officials can access ORCA and review your information online as a part of the proposal evaluation process. You will no longer have to submit representations and certifications completed in ORCA with each offer.
