Description

The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within the response timeframe after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. DoDEA intends to award sole source procurement to Research Science Institute (RSI) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). RSI?s program, sponsored by the Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) and in cooperation with MIT, has developed innovative methods and techniques for instruction in science and math to gifted math and science secondary students. Students selected from the United States and other nations participate in a rigorous academic program which emphasizes advanced theory and research in mathematics, the sciences, and engineering. The program is to occur 26 June through 6 August 2005, on the MIT campus. SEE UPLOADED DOCUMENTS FOR DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES. Response Date: 2:00 p.m. EST, 2 May 2005.
