- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) AND NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) The General Services Administration (GSA), Special Services Division is seeking sources that are capable of designing and providing a new, complete, PC based graphical area wide fire alarm monitoring system including Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listed application software and hardware complete and ready for operation. It shall include, but not be limited to, one or more PC based graphical workstations, all input/output devices, network communications media, control equipment, auxiliary control devices, power supplies and wiring including fiber optic media as specified herein. Provide a single system consisting of one or more workstations for monitoring of multiple manufacturers monitoring systems in 30 buildings. The main work station shall be located at the GSA, Fire Alarm Shop, 3101 Penny Drive, Landover, MD 20785 and a remote work station shall be located at GSA Safety Environment and Fire Protection Branch, 7th and D Streets, SW, Room 2080, Washington, DC 20407. Please refer to the file name: Description of Work for GSA?s inquiries pertaining to this RFI. There is no bid package or solicitation document associated with this announcement. The requested information is for planning purposes and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement action will be issued. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as the result of the submission of contractor?s information. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. Firms who wish to respond to this RFI should include their business size, Cage code, Dun and Bradstreet number, and GSA schedule should they hold one.
