- N00244 Naval Base 937 North Harbor Drive San Diego, CA Laura Maxwell 619-532-2365 This is published as a Sole Source announcement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. See Note 22. The NAICS code for this action is 811219.The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) San Diego, CA intends to award a sole source contract to GE Medical Systems Information Technologies for all services, materials, and equipment necessary for the repair/ service of Solar 8000M/9500 units, Dash 4000?s, CIC?s, PRN 50-M?s, and APEX PRO Telemetry Units, located at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, CA. The scope of work performed under these specifications includes the furnishing of all labor, equipment, materials, and parts to perform all repairs on the equipment listed, to ensure continued operation at their designed efficiency and capacity. GE manufactures and provides the only compatible monitoring system for use in the Naval Medical Center, San Diego. Only the original equipment manufacturer has access to the proprietary software and repair parts necessary to maintain thes! e units. The proposed contract is for a base period, to commence 15 May 2005, with 3 one-year option periods. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all correspondence received no later than 26 April 2005. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Solicitation N00244-05-T-0501 will be posted to www.neco.navy.mil on or about 27 April 2005.
