- Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) intends to issue a request for quote for Armed Security Guard services for the 832nd Transportation Battalion, 8675 Maritime Street, Jacksonville, Florida. Services are to facilitate the overall secu rity of Installation/terminal facility and activities including, but not limited to: observe personnel and vehicles entering/exiting the battalion. parking area, observe/monitor personnel entering the facility, validate access authorization, observe/monito r immediate and surrounding areas via CCTV and Security system, conduct interior and exterior security checks, etc. Duty hours will be 24 hours seven days a week to include Federal Holidays. Employees must possess a SECRET clearance by contract start date . The period of performance is for one base year and four one-year renewal option periods. The anticipated contract start date is 15 July 2005. The proposed solicitation is 100% small business set aside and NAICS code 561612 with size standard of $10.5 MIL applies. This solicitation will be issued as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12 and evaluated in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. The solicitation will be issued on or about 12 May 2005 and close approximately 20 days thereafter. A pre-pro posal conference will be held for this procurement. The date and time and other information will be provided with the solicitation. Cut off date for questions will be 5 days after the release of the RFQ.
