- Sources sought synopsis Description: THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The 319TH Contracting Squadron at Grand Forks AFB (GFAFB), ND is conducting market research to determine the existence of HUBZone certified companies that perform fire protection/prevention and rescue services. It is anticipated the period of performance of the resultant contract will be a basic period (1 Oct 05 to 30 Sep 06) with four option periods (one year each). This is based on the most current information available to date. Updated information will be posted electronically on FedBizOps at www.eps.gov as it becomes available. The general scope of the requirement is to provide service at Cavalier Air Force Station (CAFS), North Dakota to prevent outbreak of fires and to minimize damage to persons and property if one does occur. To provide services to inspect the site and identify potential fire problem areas. The contractor shall be organized to effectively combat fires and other emergencies. The contractor shall be the first responder in the event of hazardous materials incidents. The government furnishes all fire fighting and rescue service equipment to include building, special and general-purpose vehicles, fire fighting personal protective clothing, specialized and general equipment, furniture and some supplies. The contractor is responsible for all other resources not identified as government furnished necessary to perform the services. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561990, Fire Fighting Services as a commercial activity, with a size standard of $6,000,000.
